| Marion Z. Skydancer: Marion is currently 63 cycles, and still a teenager. Little formal training, though various encounters with academic art programs did have some small impact, most of his efforts are from self taught, or reactionary techniques. Meaning that when something would not work, he would go and find something that would. Working over his artistic lifetime as a sculptor, rendering in prismacolor and derwent pencils, working with conte after reading an article on the methods of Alberto Vargas, really being quite insane with acrylics and mixed media work, he eventually found a camera. The work in photography has, and still, is bound inextricably to his work in digital and traditional arts. The only real purpose has been to support and feed the fantasy, sacred and expressionist works that he creates. In his most recent expressions that has been a process he calls PhoDigital Paintings © meaning photograpy, shot specifically for the purpose of making digitally enhanced, or modified digital paintings from. The photograph becomes only a canvas, a beginning for the work. The journey is now into the realms of finding his own artistic path, in the new technologies and the world spanning weave of the internet. As he joins with, and works with other artists from around the world, in a truly planetary dance of synergy, cross pollination and expressive arts. |
